Attending the training course were Ms. Pham Bao Khanh – A member of the DIV’s Board of Directors; Mr. Mai Viet Trung – Deputy General Director of the DIV, and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hien –Controller in charge of the DIV.
In the opening remarks, Mr. Mai Viet Trung, Deputy General Director of the DIV, stated that in the context of the ups and downs of banking operations, the internal control is an effective tool that helps the DIV staff enhance their compliance with processes, regulations, deposit insurance operations, internal rules, and legal requirements. This aims to identify and address risks and errors during task implementation in a timely manner. Therefore, the DIV leaders always pay close attention to and highly appreciate the internal control aspect of the organization.
“The training course is organized to equip staff with the necessary skills for examination and internal control while simultaneously serving as an opportunity to connect, interact, and share knowledge to enhance the qualification of the internal control staff throughout the system, thereby contributing to building a stronger DIV and successfully achieving the assigned goals and tasks,” emphasized Mr. Mai Viet Trung.
During the training course, the participants were enriched with practical, in-depth experiences from lecturers from Vietnam National University - Hanoi, such as Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Thuy – Head of the Accounting and Auditing Faculty, Member of the Council of the University of Economics, Vietnam National University - Hanoi; Dr. Ngo Thi Thu Hang – Lecturer in the Accounting and Auditing Faculty; and MSc. Nguyen Nam Trung – Lecturer in Accounting and Auditing.
The curriculum was designed with up-to-date and practical contents. Besides clarifying the concepts, nature, components, benefits, and limitations of the internal control system, the lecturers also provided relevant knowledge such as: methods for evaluating and improving internal control; experiences in reviewing and finalizing construction investment projects; and essential skills for staff in internal audit and control.
In her closing remarks, Ms. Pham Bao Khanh, Member of the DIV’s Board of Directors, expressed her high regard for the participants' learning spirit and the results they achieved. She encouraged the staff to apply the knowledge they gained from the training course to enhance their skills and capabilities, thereby contributing to the innovation and improvement of the quality and effectiveness of internal control activities in their practical work.
