Deposit Insurance of Vietnam joins IADI 22nd Annual General Meeting and International Conference in United States

The International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI)'s annual meeting and other relevant events include meetings of the IADI Technical Committee, Council Committee, Regional Committee, and 77^{th< /sup> Executive Committee (EXCO).}

The international conference was organized under the theme "Successfully Managing Systemic Risk: Deposit Insurance in a Turbulent World." During the conference, speakers and delegates presented and discussed various crucial topics, focusing on deposit issues such as banking supervision and deposit insurance in the United States after the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank, lessons learned from recent banking instability, matters related to cooperative organizations, insurance, and prudential regulations, as well as resolution operations and deposit insurance expansions. Participants in the conference were speakers who were experts from IADI, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank, among others, along with a large number of delegates from deposit insurers that are members of IADI.

Within the framework of the annual conference, as a member of IADI, the DIV endorsed documents updating IADI activities since the 21st annual conference held in Argentina and the upcoming plans of IADI. Additionally, the DIV ratified the results of the election for the IADI Executive Council.

Moreover, the DIV delegation participated in meetings of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee (APRC) - IADI, the Committee on Core Principles and Research, the Working Group on Strategic Priorities and Action Plan , and the meeting of General Directors of deposit insurers under the APRC.

On the sidelines of the conference, the DIV delegation held bilateral meetings with the delegations of the Philippines Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Korean Deposit Insurance Corporation to discuss crucial matters such as the role of deposit guarantees in supervision and resolution, coordination mechanisms with relevant agencies, and future collaborative plans.
