The meeting was participated by Mr. Tran Son Hai–the Provincial Standing Committee member, Permanent Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee and the other leaders; Representatives from Khanh Hoa’s Deputy delegation, the Permanent Party Committee of the provincial agency block, Department of Emulation – Commendation; delegates from the State Bank of Vietnam’s (SBV) provincial branch management boards and inspectors in the South-Central and the Central Highlands region; leaders of commercial banks, joint-stock commercial banks, joint-venture banks and people’s credit funds (CCF) in the region.
DIV’s delegates included Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy – Chairman of the Board of Directors (BoD) and other BoD members; Mr. Dao Quoc Tinh – BoD member, General Director and other members of the management board; representatives from Controllers, departments at the headquarters, all Branch staff members and retired officers.
Report on the branch 15 year operation and the action plan for 2017 was presented by Mr. Nguyen Van Giang – the regional branch Deputy Director. composed, under the guidance of DIV's management board and the support of SBV's provincial branch and local authorities, DIV's South-Central and the Central Highlands regional branch has experienced gradually growing and contributing to the efforts of the DIV to protect legitimate rights and interests of depositors , strengthen the public confidence in the banking system, maintain the sound operations of credit institutions. Likewise, it helped mobilize capital from local residents for regional credit institutions (CI) and meet the capital demand for production and business operations.
As stated by Mr. Nguyen Hoai Chieu – the Director of SBV’s branch in Khanh Hoa province, the establishment and achievements of DIV in general and the branch in particular were an important milestone and a turning point for the safe and sound development of the CI system, especially the PCFs. None of the PCF in the area has experienced unsafety. Besides, the local SBV’s branch actively cooperated and shared information with the branch in examining and supervising public institutions for the sake of safe and sound banking system.
Sharing the viewpoints with Mr. Nguyen Hoai Chieu, representatives of several public institutions asserted that over the years, the Branch's operation has considerably strengthened their capital mobilization, assured the public confidence and promoted their reputation.
Mr. Tran Son Hai, Permanent Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee highly appreciates the role of the Branch in maintaining the stable and safe banking system, thus enhancing depositors' confidence in the CI system. Mr. Tran Son Hai requested the branch to actively coordinate with related agencies and departments to strengthen the supervision, examination and effective implementation of DIV policies at local public institutions. The branch needed to regularly send advices and proposals to DIV headquarters on the revision and amendments of DI policies and regulations in the coming time.

In his address to the meeting, Mr. Dao Quoc Tinh –DIV’s General Director appreciates the Branch’s efforts and achievements over the last 15 years. He also requested the branch, on the basis of current achievements, to focus on effective implementation of DI policies, especially on the following topics:
Complying with DIV's guidance and carry out on-going research, applying practical financial, banking and DI knowledge learned from international practices, given typical circumstances of Vietnam, in the functional operations;< o:p>
Promoting creativity, professionalism, transparency, accountability at work; actively solutions propose to DIV’s management board regarding the Branch’s operation.
Strengthen the solidarity, unity and discipline internally to accomplish professional tasks, contribute to the overall success of the system.
Enhance the relationship and collaboration with local authorities, SBV’s provincial branches in examination, supervision and other DI activities.
Promote PR activities, dissemination of DI policies to the public in line with DIV’s regulations.
In response to Mr. Dao Quoc Tinh’s instructions, Mr. Nguyen Xuan - the branch's director, emphasized that it would strive to accomplish tasks, overcome difficulties and concerns in certain functions, enhance the solidarity, emulate for creativity and innovation in operation to make a better contribution to the development of DIV.
At the meeting, the Branch was honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee and DIV BoD on the occasion of its 15th anniversary.
