Over the past 3 years, since DIV and CDIC signed the first MOU in December 2006, the two Parties have been collaborating and exchanging useful information and training for research development of the two organizations in particular and deposit insurers worldwide in general. Given outstanding cooperation results, the two sides have reviewed the achievements in the framework of the first MOU and decided to extend the term of the MOU. This has also been seen as a milestone in strengthening and consolidating sustainable cooperation ties between the two organizations “to further promote the development of the deposit insurance systems in Vietnam and Taiwan and together engage in research on important topics such as cross-border issues and thereby make our deposit insurance system more comprehensive” as said by Mr. Shang – Chen Chen, Chairman of CDIC at the signing ceremony.
