Mr. Nguyen Thuan Huu – Member of Party Central Executive Committee – Editor-in-chief of Nhan dan Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Binh - Member of Party Central Executive Committee - Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Mr. Tran The Vuong – Head of the National Assembly Committee for People's Aspiration; Mr. Nguyen The Ky - Deputy Director of the Central Propaganda Department, Mr. Dinh Trung Tung - Vice Minister of Justice, Mr. Cao Sy Kiem - Former Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam - Chairman of Association of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, Ms. Duong Thu Huong – Secretary General of Vietnam Banks Association attended this event. Moreover, there were participants such as the members of the Steering and Organizational Committees of the competition as Editors-in-Chief, Deputy Editors-in-chief, leaders of newspapers: Dai Doan Ket, Thanh Nien, Tien Phong, Quan Doi Nhan Dan, VietNamNet as well as Vietnam Television and Hanoi Television.
In regard to DIV, Mr. Mai Minh De - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Bui Khac Son – General Director, Deputy General Directors, Directors of the branches, Managers and Vice Managers of Head office Departments attended the launch. Besides, there were also attendances of so many reporters and journalists of the printable and electronic newspaper offices, television and radio stations for coverage of this important event.
Rules of the competition stipulate that examinees are all Vietnamese citizens at the age of over 16 living in the whole country and abroad, domestic and foreign organizations (except for officers and employees working in DIV, members of the Steering and Organizational Committees, the Jury and the Team of Competition Secretaries).
According to the Organizational Committee, questions will not be too difficult for competitors, including the basic knowledge of deposit insurance operations and benefits brought to depositors by the deposit insurance policy. DIV also prepares the answer suggested documents for them to easily select the correct answer.
They can take either (or both) competitive examination forms: multiple choice and essay. Entries should be sent to the email address: timhieuBHTG@div.gov.vn or by post: PR Department - Floor 18 - Deposit Insurance of Vietnam (with clearly written cover: Entry of "Learning about Deposit Insurance and DIV’s operations).
As announced by the Organizers, in order to encourage people to participate in the competition, the Organizers create favorable conditions for them to take part in the competition easily, get access to information on the exam as well as information related to DIV’s operations as a basis for selection of correct answers.
Examinees can find information on the competition (including competition rules, exams, suggested answers) on the DIV’s website: www.div.gov.vn or on other media such as Nhan Dan newspaper, Market - Finance - Money magazine, Tien Phong Newspaper, Dai Doan Ket newspaper, Thanh Nien newspaper, Quan Doi Nhan Dan newspaper, Bank Times; VietNamNet newspaper. Moreover, all contents related to the competition and exams are listed and distributed without charge at the counters of banks, people's credit funds in the whole country.
In addition to two first prizes being worth VND 20 million for each one and a tour to Nha Trang for 2 people, the Organizers will award prizes to individuals and other groups with a total value of more than VND 90 million. Monthly, quarterly, the Organizers will preliminarily review and award prize to the best posts of the month and the quarter. They will be posted on the website or the Bulletin of the DIV and paid for royalties under DIV’s royalty regulation.
Assessing the role of deposit insurance policy in general and the competition of learning about deposit insurance and DIV’s operations in particular, all the participants highly appreciate its meaning and purpose that the competition brings.
