The training course's trainers were experts from the Banking Supervision Agency and the Finance and Accounting Department of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), the SBV branch in Hanoi together with representatives of the DIV's Management Board and heads of the Supervision Department.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, Mr. Dao Quoc Tinh, the DIV’s General Director emphasized the importance of supervision of public institutions. Developed, based on data on insured deposits and insured guarantees collected from the SBV and other resources, the DIV has effectively supervised 100% of insured guarantees. Results obtained from this activity serve as the basis for not only on-site examination and other core operations but also proposals and recommendations made to the SBV for promptly handling violations of regulations on prudential banking operations.
Also according to Mr. Dao Quoc Tinh, regular and continuous supervision for early detection of potential risks at insured institutions to best protect the legitimate rights and interests of depositors is currently one of the DIV's main tasks in the context of the restructuring of the credit institution system and the handling of bad debts.
“As the DIV has been assigned new tasks and missions in weak credit institutions attached with dealing with bad debts, it is necessary to improve professional skills of DIV's officers, especially supervision officers ” – emphasized Mr. Dao Quoc Tinh. Aiming to increase the knowledge, understanding and skills of supervision officers, the training course focused on: 04 main topics on supervision conducted by a deposit insurance; legal regulations and related documents on supervision; the SBV’s experiences of supervising public institutions as well as conduct of and guidance on supervision of public institutions.
Through the course, the trainees were provided with the essential knowledge of supervision from the experienced trainers. Besides, the course also creates an opportunity for the trainees and officers who are involved in supervision to share and discuss their experience and difficulties and find solutions together to improve the quality of supervision.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Dao Quoc Tinh, DIV’s General Director praised the outcomes of the training course and expressed his hope that the trainees will make use of knowledge learned in a creative and effective way. He also required all the trainees to promote self-studying and experience sharing to gain necessary supervision knowledge and skills to fulfill their assigned tasks, thereby contributing to enhancing the DIV's performance in general and its supervision in particular.

At the end of the training course, the trainees took an online evaluation test including multiple-choice questions. 10 individuals with excellent results were selected to be presented with commendations.
