Recognizing the active and responsible participation of CIs and related units in promoting financial education communication activities, contributing to the implementation of the comprehensive national financial strategy and the government's directives on non-cash payments and combating loan sharking, Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh proposed that the Communication Department - the advisory body for communication in the banking sector - continue to strengthen communication products on social media platforms and digital platforms. At the same time, continuing to develop event series like “The Future Banker" competition to create a well-informed community about finance and banking, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.
Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen, Head of the Communication Department of the SBV, stated at the Final Round of the competition that financial education communication for the public is a trend pursued by many central banks worldwide to enhance the transparency of information, financial literacy, and legal knowledge among the public.
Globally, financial education for the public, especially for the youth, has drawn significant attention. Central banks in various countries also identify ways to communicate information that is memorable, understandable, and easy to follow, with the intention that it spreads from the young generation to the broader community.
In Vietnam, the Prime Minister approved the National Comprehensive Financial Strategy until 2025, with a vision towards 2030, as stated in Decision No. 149/QD-TTg dated January 22, 2020. An important aspect of this strategy is to enhance financial literacy among the public, aiming to change perceptions, behaviors, and foster good financial habits within the community. With this goal in mind, the SBV has placed great emphasis on financial education programs through competitions (such as "Smart Money, Wise Money," "Money Intelligence," and "Understanding Money..."). The event series "The Future Banker" is also part of the overall framework of financial education programs by the SBV.
"In the near future, the Communication Department will continue to implement financial education programs, spreading them wider, in line with the National Strategy for Comprehensive Financial Education, targeting the younger generation. The SBV will also introduce communication products that leverage digital platforms and modern technology to disseminate knowledge and smart financial skills, thereby minimizing risks for consumers using financial services and contributing to the protection of financial service consumers in Vietnam," Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen emphasized.
After the preliminary, orientation, and semifinal rounds, on May 23, the final round of the "The Future Banker 2023" competition took place, featuring the top 4 teams who successfully advanced through the intense rounds of competition.

The program has inspired young people in financial management, experiences in leveraging financial resources when starting businesses, and investing in securities. Consequently, it has empowered young individuals, providing them with the strength and motivation to pursue their dreams.

Notably, this year's series of events also included various activities that spread the spirit of "mutual love and support" and "helping one another." These activities included granting scholarships to underprivileged university students by the Banking Academy, contributing to improving their conditions for studying and personal development, and enabling them to thrive in life. Additionally, there was support for the charity program "Sunday of Love," a monthly initiative implemented by the Social Committee of the National Assembly in collaboration with the SBV and the Hanoi Heart Hospital.
