It would therefore contribute to the stability of the financial and monetary market as well as the safe and sound development of the credit institutions’ system. Almost 17 years since establishment, the DIV has gradually affirmed its role in the renovation process and served as the SBV and the Government’s tool to protect depositor, contributed to maintaining the stability of the credit institutions’ system, and ensured the safe and sound operation of the banking system. The DIV has been a single and important Government financial institution in deposit insurance.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy expected that the graduates would start their career with sufficent knowledge of the DIV and deposit insurance, thus cooperate with DIV to promote DI policy in daily life. “This event is held today in a frank and open manner. We would like to hear from the Board Members and students on DI policy. We also welcome and will answer any question on deposit insurance and the future orientation of your concerns” said Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy
According to Assoc.Prof, Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, the event co-hosted by VNU-UEB and DIV is aimed at making research activities more practical. Faculty of Finance and Banking is among those which draw VNU-UEB’s attention to enhance the quality, transfer the operation mechanism into a more socialized, high-quality one and keep it close to international standards. VNU-UEB would soon launch the Master in Governance of Financial Institutions program. It is the newest one in Vietnam which will be jointly managed by UEB and international universities and taught by foreign experts. In particular, VNU-UEB shall invite top experts in the country, including those from the DIV to give lessons. Assoc.Prof. and Dr. Nguyen Hong Son emphasized that “As the rector of VNU-UEB, I am honored to attend the event today and believe this is a significant chance for both lecturers and students not only to learn about DI policy but also about the DIV, therefore work out the research orientation towards more cooperation with the DIV”.

Besides, representatives of Vietnam Bank For Social Policies introduced the credit program to support students living under challenging circumstances, partly cover expenses for studying and living during their college life. This is one of the most important policies in line with people’s expectations, the development trend, responsive to the Government’s message: "No student drop-out of university due to financial difficulties".
Students talked to DIV’s representatives
To promote the engagement with students, the organizer also held a "small contest" on DI policy and the DIV through multiple-choice questions. Each question had four-choices, among which only one was correct. The contest triggered strong enthusiasm and excitement of students.
