The DIV delegation participated the 21st APRC Annual Meeting and International Conference
At the Annual Meeting, as a member of the APRC, the DIV approved the APRC's documents; updated the APRC's activities since the 20th virtual Annual Meeting hosted by the Deposit Protection Agency of Thailand in 2022; updated its business plan in the coming time; and approved the election of the APRC Vice Chairperson position and the host organization of the 22nd APRC Annual Meeting.
The delegation participated in the International Conference with the theme of "Evolving Towards a New Era: Renovating Traditional Tools and Integrating New Approaches by Deposit Insurers".
Important issues were discussed at the Conference, including Trends and potential risks of a new era: from global and regional perspectives; Evolving deposit guarantees: with renovated tools and new approaches; and Enhancing regional cooperation towards a new era: research and capacity building from regional perspectives.
The Conference attracted experts from the IADI, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, South East Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) Research and Training Center, etc., to join as speakers, as well as delegates from APRC members.
As the DIV's representative, Ms. Pham Bao Khanh, Member of the Board of Directors had a presentation titled "Deposit guarantees and credit institution resolution: DIV's perspective" and received positive feedback and sharing from the Conference's participants.

In addition, the delegation participated a couple of APRC's Technical Committee meetings, including the Research Technical Committee, the Training and Technical Assistance Committee, and the Joint Task Force on Strategic Priorities and Action Plans, to update their activities in the first half of 2023 and discuss their action plan for the second half of 2023.
On the sidelines of the Annual Meeting and International Conference, Ms. Pham Bao Khanh had a bilateral meeting with Ms. Maria Antonette Bolivar, General Counsel of the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation, to discuss both sides' topics of interest, such as the role of the deposit insurance in resolution, coordination mechanisms with related parties, and the cooperation plan between two organizations in the future.
