On 7th April 2016, at the DIV’s Meeting on implementation of the 2016 second half year plan, the DIV’s Organizing Board of “Slogan Contest” made a review on the results and presented prizes to the winners.
According to the Organizing Board, there were totally 291 slogan entries, in which, the highest number of entries coming from one unit reached 24. Particularly, one contester had submitted 13 entries. The grading process was conducted in a careful, unbiased and honest manner. All entries were coded, and examined anonymously. In preliminary round, the contest judges graded slogans independently based on the criteria, namely: simple; meaningful; impressive; easy to remember; interesting and appealing; relevant with the DIV’s logo; and flexible.
The description and demonstration for slogans must be clear, short, concise and persuasive. Fifteen proposals with the highest scores were selected for the final round. The judges of the final round evaluated those proposals based on consultation from media – branding professionals and then agreed on the selection of the winners. After two rounds, the Organizing Board submitted the excellent proposals to the Board of Directors for consideration and approval. It is certain to say that the evaluation results well reflected the true value of each entry.
The DIV’s “Slogan Contest” could not award the First Prize as, in fact, no entry met the essential criteria for both content and form to be used as the official slogan of the DIV. Second Prize went to the Department of Research and International Cooperation with the Slogan "Protecting your Deposits" by Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Binh; Third Prize was awarded to the Division of Examination of the DIV’s North Central Regional Branch with the Slogan: "For the interests of depositors" by Mr. Ngo Quang Huy. Three Consolation Prizes were presented to the Department of Supervision; the Department of Research and International Cooperation; and the General Division of the DIV’s Mekong River Delta Regional Branch. “Department with the highest number of entries” Award belonged to the Department of Supervision with totally 24 entries.
Addressing at the closing and award ceremony, Deputy General Director Ngo Quang Luong - Deputy Head of the Organizing Board said that the Competition has achieved certain success in encouraging and promoting officials and employees to learn about the organization, deeply be aware of the orientation, objectives, functions, duties and activities of the DIV to bring out the best slogan entries. Many submissions were meticulously prepared both in form and content, and they showed a great deal of originality and impressiveness. Many efforts were also made in description and demonstration parts which were clear, specific with the graphics and illustrations included to make them more persuasive.
