Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy – current DIV’s General Director – was appointed as the DIV Chairman of the Board of Director; Mr. Dao Quoc Tinh – Deputy Director of the SBV’s Banking Supervision Agency was mobilized and appointed as the DIV’s General Director.
On May 19th, 2015 a ceremony was held at the DIV’s headquarter to announce the Decisions of the Prime Minister and the Governor of the SBV about the appointments of Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy – DIV’s General Director as the Chairman of the BoD and Mr. Dao Quoc Tinh – Deputy Director of SBV’s BSA as member of the BoD, General Director of the DIV.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Binh – Member of the Party Central Committee, Governor of the SBV; Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, General Director of the Personnel Department, former Chairman of DIV, heads from Personnel Department, SBV Office and BSA. From the DIV, Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy – General Director, members of BOD, Management Board, Members of DIV’s Party Standing Committee, Supervisors, leaders from Departments of Headquarter and local branches, representatives of Party’s office, the Union and the Youth Union.
Mr. Tran Huu Thang, Deputy General Director of the Personnel Department announced the appointment of DIV’s senior management. Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy – current DIV’s General Director - was appointed as the DIV Chairman of the Board of Director at the Prime Minister’s Decision No.658/QD-TTg, effective 15/5/2015; Mr. Dao Quoc Tinh – Deputy Director of the SBV’s Banking Supervision Agency was mobilized and appointed as member of the BoD and General Director of the DIV at Decision No.758/QD-NHNN by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, effective 15/5/2015. Speaking at the Ceremony, Governor Nguyen Van Binh instructed the newly appointed senior managers of the DIV that they should continue to promote the sense of responsibilities, capabilities and knowledge to successfully fulfill their duties. Besides, the DIV should continuously consolidate the unity and consensus, foster the collective strength, and assure the practices of grassroots democracy, thus improve the operation efficiency.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy expresses his honor and gratitude towards the Party’s Leader Committee, SBV’s Management Board, especially the Governor for the trust and credit granted and he will surely follow the Governor’s instructions.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy commits to building upon the predecessors’ experience and achievements. The Management Board and employees of DIV will utilize the strength, sense of solidarity towards obtaining the goals and completing strategic missions, including: Implement effectively the new organizational and structural, governance and management regulations; take initiatives to issue the governance and management documents and guidance for DIV’s operation; effectively adopt deposit insurance policies; put forward solutions to improve the financial capacity; focus on training and developing HR for the future; promote the roles of consistent and comprehensive leadership, instructions, governance and management of the whole system; enhance the collective democracy of the employees.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy expects to receive continued attention and instructions from the Governor for the road ahead of the DIV, especially on the mechanism, policies, and regimes, implementation of the business activities and personnel development so that the DIV will steadily head the future with more comprehensive successes.
SBV Governor Nguyen Van Binh was entitled by the Prime Minister to present the Nomination Decision to Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy - Newly appointed Chairman of the DIV.
Mr. Dao Quoc Tinh received the Nomination Decision as the General Director of the DIV from SBV Governor Nguyen Van Binh.
At the same day, at SBV’s Headquarter, the SBV announced the Decision of the Governor to receive and nominate the General Director of the Personnel Department of the SBV.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh – Former DIV Chairman of the Board of Directors, was appointed as the General Director of the Personnel Department, SBV
The ceremony was attended by Central Party Committee, SBV Governor Nguyen Van Binh, representatives of the Party’s Office, senior leaders from several SBV departments and all officials from Personnel Department. Accordingly, the SBV Governor issued Decision No. 756/QĐ-NHNN on appointing Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh – former DIV’s Chairman of the BoD as Director General of Personnel Department, effective May 15, 2015.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Nguyen Van Binh congratulated Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh on the new appointment and highlighted that official at Personnel Department should guarantee the qualification of fairness and honesty. He was convinced that in his new role, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh will continue to develop his capacity, wisdom, experience, and the sense of responsibility to accomplish the assigned tasks. Also, he and all officials at the Personnel Department are expected to restlessly enrich the knowledge, strengthen solidarity, take initiatives, foster creativeness to provide consults and assistance to the Party Leader Committee and SBV’s Management Board in terms of HR works.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh expressed his deep gratitude towards the Party Leader Committee and the SBV’s Management Board for their appointment of the new post – embedded with it either advantages or challenges. Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh noted the Governor’s instructions and will soon take actions. He promised to bring about capabilities and expertise, together with the managers and employees in the Personnel Department, strive to make contribution to the development of the SBV in particular and the banking sector in general.
